Growing up, pork chops were a frequent family favorite. They remain a go-to weeknight dinner because pork chops are versatile and forgiving when cooked slowly. Serve these slow cooker pork chops with creamy mashed potatoes, buttered green beans, or warm biscuits for dipping into the gravy.

How to Make Boneless Pork Chops in Crock Pot

This is a true set-it-and-forget-it slow cooker meal. The combination of cream soups, broth, and onion soup mix produces a rich, savory gravy that keeps the pork chops moist and tender. Use bone-in or boneless pork chops according to your preference—both work well.

  • 4–6 pork chops, bone-in or boneless (New York pork chops or center-cut work well)
  • 1 (10½ oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10½ oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

The canned soups add both body and flavor to the gravy, while the onion soup mix brings a concentrated savory note. If you prefer, you can substitute low-sodium broth or lighter soup varieties. Adjust pepper to taste, and avoid over-salting until the end, especially if you use a salty onion soup mix.

Crock Pot Pork Chops

Our slow cooker pork chops are fork-tender and full of flavor. The gravy is perfect over mashed potatoes and makes for an easy, comforting family meal.

Ingredients

  • 4–6 pork chops, bone-in or boneless
  • 1 (10½ oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10½ oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Spray the slow cooker insert with non-stick cooking spray. Arrange the pork chops evenly in the slow cooker in a single layer, if possible.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, onion soup mix, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the soup mixture over the pork chops, making sure they are coated. Cover with the lid.
  4. Cook on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours or on LOW for 6 to 7 hours, until the chops are cooked through and fork-tender. The USDA recommends cooking pork to a safe internal temperature; chops are typically done when they reach 145°F and are tender when cooked longer in a slow cooker.
  5. When done, spoon the gravy over the chops and serve hot. If the gravy is thinner than you like, you can thicken it by transferring a cup to a saucepan and whisking in a slurry of cornstarch and water, then simmering until it thickens.

Tip: For a deeper flavor, sear the pork chops briefly in a hot skillet before placing them in the slow cooker. This step is optional but adds color and extra savory notes to the dish.

Serving & Storage Tips

Serve these pork chops over mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered egg noodles so the gravy can be generously enjoyed. Steamed or roasted vegetables make a nice side. Leftovers keep well in the refrigerator for 3–4 days; rewarm gently on the stovetop or in a low oven to preserve tenderness. This recipe also freezes well—freeze portions of meat with gravy in airtight containers for up to 2 months.
