With my 30th birthday approaching, I’ve started taking skincare more seriously. While some of the changes from my teens and early twenties are already set, I’m focused on preventing further damage and intentionally caring for my skin with cleaner, thoughtfully formulated products.
I have dry skin, and living in a dry climate makes staying hydrated a constant effort. Lately I’ve prioritized keeping my face dewy and well-moisturized, which has reduced my reliance on heavy makeup. A light, flawless finish combined with targeted skincare routines has become my everyday approach.
Below I share the products and rituals that have helped me most. Each item is clean-formulated, many are plant-based, and they emphasize hydration and skin health over quick fixes.

Body Oil
Body oils have become a daily staple for me. My routine always includes a rich moisturizer, but adding an oil on top delivers extra nourishment, long-lasting hydration, and a healthy sheen that keeps skin comfortable through the day. Oils also help seal in moisture after showering, which is especially helpful in dry environments.
I enjoy botanical body oils from small, clean-beauty brands because they blend easily, absorb without stickiness, and often offer subtle aromatherapy benefits from essential oils. A practical tip: apply a small amount of body oil before a movement class like yoga or pilates for a sensorial boost and an extra layer of softness afterward.
Serums
Serums are powerful because they deliver concentrated active ingredients that target specific concerns. For my routine I focus on antioxidants and gentle brightening ingredients that support skin health and resilience. Vitamin C, vitamin E, and ferulic acid are a well-known combination that can help protect skin from environmental stressors and promote an even complexion when used consistently.
I also prioritize eye treatments to address morning puffiness and dullness under the eyes. Lightweight eye emulsions and renewal serums can help revive the under-eye area without feeling heavy, making them ideal for both morning and evening use. When choosing serums, I look for formulations that blend potent actives with calming botanical extracts to minimize irritation.
Face Oil
Face oils are one of the simplest ways to boost moisture and improve skin texture. I use a nourishing ritual oil in the morning and a richer balm when my skin needs extra protection. Both work well layered over lighter serums or under sunscreen to lock in hydration.
For congested or combination skin, a lightweight treatment oil that balances soothing botanicals with non-comedogenic carrier oils can help maintain clarity without stripping natural oils. When selecting a face oil, consider your skin’s needs—whether you want glow, barrier repair, or lightweight hydration—and choose accordingly.
Face Mist
Facial mists are an underrated finishing step that refreshes skin and adds a subtle layer of hydration throughout the day. A fine mist can soothe, hydrate, and set makeup gently while delivering botanically derived actives or calming essential oils. I keep a facial mist in my bag for mid-day pick-me-ups and use one as a final step in both morning and evening routines.
Look for mists that avoid heavy fragrances and alcohol, and instead emphasize hydrating ingredients like glycerin, hyaluronic acid, or plant hydrosols. A soothing floral or herbal mist can improve the sensory experience of your routine while supporting skin comfort.
